The Foundation Mares
Pegasus believes that it isn’t enough to pick a great stallion, you also need to have an outstanding mare. Mares that not only have papers but also have solid minds and conformation with exceptional ability in any rodeo division you choose. We currently have 5 mares in our foundation program with 4 of them being “Futurity Gals”.
Minnie Continentals “Venti”
2020 Mare by Big Mac McGwire
Venti is our only non-furturity mare and the first mare to debut from Pegasus Equine. While we focus on futurity horses, Venti has earned her place in our foundation program from her confirmation to her mind. Despite not being a futurity girl her bloodlines are commendable and older stock that rarely is seen still printed on the papers. A few include Continentals Playboy, Gold King Bullet, and Wimpy Litle Doll. She also easy on the eyes! She was actually sent to Haley of Tucker Performance Horses last year to prep for sale and failed to make it to the sale. Within a very short amount of time she was showing that she is incredibly talented and trainable and went from barely started to her first expos in record time. She begins her racing career this year and we can’t wait to see her fly because she LOVES to run!
FLF Coins For R Guy “Tilly”
2021 Mare by Guys Pocket Coin
Tilly is by Guys Pocket Coin and out of a mare by Darkelly. She is straight from the Pacific Nothwest bred by Mary Flitner. This is the only full running bred mare in our foundation program. This Buckskin beauty is truly a special lady and was picked by Zack to be his personal mount in the future for all things from trail to barrels and sorting. We expect big things from her from barrels to sorting. Prior to being brought home to focus on her rodeo career, this TALL lady was a pro at rounding up cattle in the high dessert and really showcased her natural talent and mind. She is currently with Haley McWhorter of Tucker Performance Horses to expo this year and will debut her futurity year at the BFA in November!
WhiskyMakesMeReckles “Rebel”
2021 Mare by Metallic Malice
Rebel is by Metallic Malice and out of a mare by GB Holly King. She is our California girl from G Squared Performance Horses. This mare has IT ALL. Instead of running her futurity year at four, she was held to run with Tilly and used that time to start her LTE in sorting in the PNW. She currently boasts over $1000 in LTE from JUST four sorting events and qualified for a Regional sorting championship which was missed due to her transition to the MidWest. Rebel is also with Haley McWhorter of Tucker Performance Horses to expo this year and start are career at the BFA in November.
The Sharp Eddition “Hardy”
2023 Mare by Eddie Stinson
Hardy was the very first futurity horse we purchased and is a local lady! She was bred by Jesse Henneberg of JH Performance Horses and out of a locally know mare. We are honored to be able to have a locally bred horse to showcase right here at home. Hardy will head out to Haley this summer to be started so be sure to follow her from day 1 on the facebook page. She will be expoing in 2026 and starting her career at the BFA in November of 2026!

2024 Mare by Aint Seen Nothing Yet
Kitty is by Aint Seen Nothing Yet out of a mare by Metallic Cat and our newest edition. She was bred by Swanson Horse Company in South Dakota. This little golden girl is already showing us daily that she is highly athletic, great minded, and full of personality. There will be plenty to see of her in the months and years to come as Kalie does all our own “preschool” here before sending the girls off at 2.
