Pegasus Equine LLC is a multi-faceted newcomer to the rodeo industry in the Midwest based in Central Illinois. Pegasus is proud to bring our foundation herd of All-Around top bred mares to the Barrel racing, Futurity, and sorting pens all over the Midwest as they earn their stats for our breeding program. Along side Pegasus’s proud line-up of competitive foundation mares and breeding program, Pegasus also offers Premium Select Equine Auction services for the Futurity and Performance horse industry. Pegasus is here to help you Find Your Legend be it through sales or breeding.

Pegasus Racing

Pegasus Racing is born not just of necessity but passion. Pegasus is passionate about showcasing the best of the American Quarter horse in the rodeo industry and it wasn’t enough to just have the bloodlines on paper. The goal for Pegasus Racing is the opportunity to prove and showcase our horses, breeding selections, and be supporters of the industry. Whether it be locals, jackpots, or Futurity Pegasus aims to have horses that are proven to be competitive and provide horses for these divisions for generations to come while supporting the new generations.

Owner

Kalie Gould

Kalie Gould is the owner and founder of Pegasus Equine LLC and is a Midwest native born and raised in Central Illinois. She started her equestrian career at the age of 8 with a story similar to most who were not born in the industry, she turned up in the driveway of a local horse owner offering to trade work for riding.

During her 30 years in the equine world she has had the privilege of gaining extensive experience across numerous disciplines such as training and showing gaited horses, training and showing carriage driving, dressage, hunter jumper, extreme trail, and three day eventing. She has also had the honor of working along side multiple trainers and coaching youth riders throughout here equestrian career. Outside of the equestrian world, she maintained an agricultural career and has been an advocate for women in agriculture.

In 2022, she met her husband, Zack Witvoet, who shares her life long love of horses and is a second generation Auctioneer. He also is a avid agriculture supporter and works as a full time sales manager for an auction company specializing in agricultural, construction, and transportation equipment. It has been with his unwaivering support that Pegasus Equine has been able to become a reality and the ability to combine the love of horses with the auction industry. Central Illinois Auctions is Pegasus Equine’s sister company that currently offers charity estate, real estate, and specialty auctions in the Central Illinois area.

Auctioneer & Financial Director

Zack Witvoet

Zack was born with a microphone in his hand as a second generation auctioneer and brings 30 years of auction industry experience to Pegasus equine along with almost as many years of business management and marketing experience. He also has had a life long love of horses and has worked as a ranch hand in Tennessee. He handles all of the things that Kalie doesn’t “find fun” such as the accounting, marketing prep, and ensuring that Pegasus Equine is meeting all regulations and licensing requirements.
